Slip-In Gravity Backdraught Dampers (TD-Series) Misty Ref NRD-TD dampers are designed for low-to-medium pressure systems. The frame is slightly undersized to ensure a smooth “slide-fit” into the duct. Once inside, the damper is secured through the duct wall, providing a robust but invisible barrier against air backflow.
Key Technical Features:
Precision Balanced Blades: Constructed from 0.6mm to 0.9mm lightweight aluminum. This ensures the damper opens at extremely low static pressures (low “cracking pressure”).
Internal Stop-Bead: The frame includes an internal stop to prevent the blades from over-rotating, ensuring they always return to a sealed position.
Low-Friction Pivot: Blades are mounted on synthetic or nylon bushings, ensuring silent operation and preventing the “metal-on-metal” screech common in cheaper models.
Galvanized Steel Frame: A rigid 1.2mm GI frame prevents the unit from twisting during installation, ensuring the blades stay perfectly aligned.
